There are natural events in a person's life that lead to reflection.
The end of the school year is always one of those reflection points for me.
This year in particular has led me to think back over
the past 8 years and how far my little guy has come.
It is Cole's last year in Middle School.
Next year he will move to the high school
and on to a new chapter.
Recently we were invited to an honor's breakfast at Cole's Middle School.
The post card that we received was pretty vague,
so we weren't sure what to expect.
Turns out that Cole, along with several of his other classmates was receiving a
President's Award for Academic Excellence
for maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Pretty Cool!
Cole also got some other good news last week.
He had put in an application to be on the
Student Council at his new high school.
On Friday he got the Congrats letter.
So as he prepares to wrap up the Middle School
chapter in his life
and move on to bigger and better
he already has activities lined up.
I'm sure he will be a wonderful Student Council member.
Congrats Cole!
