Stella and the Pets

That title kind of sounds like a 60's one-hit-wonder singing group.

The animals in our house have varying stages of interest surrounding Stella. They are very interested in her gear, and they have become more interested in her since she has been spending a little more time laying on her blanket on the floor. A few days ago she was hanging out propped up on her boppy and I caught these shots.

Lucy (the cat) normally doesn't come anywhere close to Stella, but she does love her pacifiers, so she will try to steal those out of the car seat. Last night I found Lucy happily napping in the crib. This is problematic and a litte concerning. Stella does not yet sleep in her crib, but we are working on making that transition, and now I'm not sure how that will work since it seems the cat appears to have claimed that spot.

Rosie (the dog) is more interested in swaddle blankets and burp cloths. If we leave either of these items in a location that Rosie can reach when we leave the house she will steal them and take them under our bed. I have tested her on this, and she always fails the test. I have tried covering the blanket with various items, and she still manages to take it. When she gets caught she is always remorseful:

But she just can't help herself.

In the future I'm sure that Stella will have more interesting things to offer the animals than blankets and pacifiers, but for now, it seems they're adjusting well to the newest member of the household.
